At MSN, tents were everywhere on the sides of the running track, allowing the participants to rest as they stayed the night there. In the centre, canopies were up for booths of companies for selling merchandise. up on the pavement tables were set up for food selling. Everything paid goes for donation. Other than that, paper bags with pictures drawn on top by the supporters and participants were filled with a lil bit of sand and a candle inside, and then placed on the inner ring of the 400 meters track. It was a beautiful sight, for at the strock of 8pm, all lights were off except the canopies and food stations, and the candles were lit, showing a bright ring of light.
People were walking non stop on the track. There was also a stage built, for performances of singing and dancing and also mini competitions such as our Miss Beauty Pageant for males. Guys were to dress up as girls and take part. O.o Starbucks partners gathered up to take walks around as well to show support. We were cheered on by people. Some were even asking for free coffee=.=
Every now and then, we would take long rests by the tents. Of all baristas, my store was the only group that spend all night talking crap and laughing and not sleepin at all. In the night, there was aerobics. In the morning, there were dances, Qi Gong, Yoga, and also the all known Chicken Dance^^
All the way from 6pm, we stayed up till 10am. Alvin came late after work. Reaching here at almost 3am, he looked as dead as the people that were still holding on n not sleeping. Other than that, by 3-4am, people will be seen sleeping almost everywhere in MSN, cept the track that is, cleared for the people still jogging and walking on and off. There were people sleeping inside tents, outside tents, on the tables, on the grass, on landing mats for athletes, EVERYWHERE! "I see heaps of dead people=.=" that's what I kept telling myself.
As I reached home, I was as sticky as ever. And of all times, the worst happens, my house has no water supply. What is wrong with the world.
