My Digi Cinderella Story

To be frank, I never believed in luck.
But this time, as the IPhone 3G S that I have won touched my fingertips I was so in disbelief that I could have cried. (of course I still kept my composure) This was how the story went.

On this very busy Thursday, Digi Pimp my Music was being held at Zouk in KL. 60 lucky bloggers who has twitted about their favorite celeb are to get invites to it, in which I submitted bout "Lady Gaga's dashing and alluring display in fashion as well as her astounding voice for singing" has gotten an invite to it as well. Yay~

We were suppose to go dressed as our favorite celeb. My post wrote Gaga, so I dressed as her. To start off I was really hesitant to dress her traits *thinks thinks thinks* but I kept on tellin myself, this is my once in a life time chance to get to dress like her. Bringing out my daring-ness for once, I've decided to over-dress (for once) just like Gaga.

The Gaga-ness

1st, Gaga always wears a uptight leotard
2nd, she's always in heels.. So high that a normal walking person can't walk in it for long.
3rd, it's most of the time LEATHER, Too bad I don have any leather T^T
4th, Her lightning on the face (well not all her songs but it's kinda her la)
5th, most of the time she's all shimmy (The only shimmy is my tube dress) T^T

As cz I was only notified just a day before the event, I had no time for shopping or wat-so-eva (not like I have a lot of pocket money anyway) , but to just give my all with what I have at home.
1. Pants -> I cut my old gymnastics leotard in half so it would not slip as I move.
2. Top -> Just another black top I got from Sub cz I HAVE NO OTHER tht looks closest to Gaga.
3. Belt -> Stole mom's who's at the Asian Games now XD (Sorry mom)
4. Gloves -> My old black socks, just cut 2 holes n I can put my hands in^^
5. Make up -> Learn from youtube n play with my big box of make up set.
6. Shoes -> As shimmy as possible so it's mom's again XD
7. Hair -> No way I'm killing my hair with color so I'll just change my fringe to the front.

Upon late arrival, I didn't get to taste to food there.. as well as missed the first half of the event. Actually I thought there was no dinner so I ate home. (I'm so sorry Digi ) But yea, I'll leave it to the other 59 bloggers to blog bout it ^^ All that I know is, As I stepped in, I see another Lady Gaga, Marilyn Manson, Elvin Presley, n Adam Lambert whom stood out most. There were also others like P. Ramlee, Taylor Swift and Michael Buble. It is always exciting to see people cosplay as it's not somethn u get to see everyday^^ Also this interesting event was to feature the interesting NEW IPhone 4. There were mini contests held along the event like :

As I was warming up to the event, Chloe pulled me out to the dancefloor during "The Dancing Bloggers" game. I was shivering O.o I wasn't really ready to just step out. I wasn't in the mood at all to dance. I need warming up just like every other dance sessions I had /// But I just told myself "you're Gaga today and U are in her body" And I just went into character. As a gift for participating, I was given a limited edition white GLEE mug, along with every other contestant.

As for the fastest twit answer contest, I never had a BB or IPhone or phone that can surf wifi for free in the 1st place to twit so I stayed out.

Later on in the event, the best dressed finalists were to be called up front. As expected, Marilyn Manson and Elvis Presley were up, as well as Lady Gaga (not me), giving me the idea that well, I'm not in the list. Heh~

Unexpectedly as I continued to talk to my bf, my name was called as well. Shivering once again, I stepped onto the stage (my stage fright ) My eyes were seriously like O.o!? That was really unexpected... for the other 3 were WAY in costume than I am... Tho I think Elvis should have went for white instead of black, and if the other Gaga would dress a lil more tighter like the real Gaga would, but I love her hair... Marilyn Manson did a great job, tho tht time i don really noe who he was dressed as as I dono who is Marilyn Manson >< (Sorry dude)

Anyway, the first up was Elvis Presley~ The all-time classic and my all-time favorite^^ Sadly, the DJ didn't have any songs sang by this King of Rock. So he had to bring out his character with another rock song, in which wasn't syncing at all. *sigh* Still, this Elvis did his best, shaking his legs and rocking it on his guitar. All in all, I'd say he did a great job portraying the Late Famous King Of Rock!

Next up, Marilyn Manson!!! Which AGAIN, the DJ doesn't carry Rock with him T^T I didn't get to see who this celebrity really is. But just to bring it on the dancefloor like how a competitor would, he confidently shouted in the mic, trying to bring the crowd up and to bring the celeb's character into action. I was amazed at how into it he was. Too bad the host (Adam Lambert), stopped him from doing so, for the area was not very big and he was shouting through the mic.

Ghoulish as he is, I can sense his aura already O.o

After that, I thought the other Gaga would be up as she was the 3rd that was called on stage just now. But apparently, they called me, the unready one @.@

"What does Gaga do? She sings well and dance in a way that makes all guys' mouths water"

My legs shivered even more.. I can't sing!!! So the only thing that popped out in my head was

DANCE!!!
And not just any dance, it's the LADY GAGA style... that perverted, alluring dance.

Pulling all my guts, telling myself it was like any other performances and competitions I've done, I just need the music to cover off the audience n background, and I'll be in my own space...

I'm a dancing queen, dancing as shamelessly crazy as I can get but to be frank, I still wasn't in the mood to dance yet. But then I can remember what my dad always says at the back of my head, he's always telling me :

" Whatever it is that u do, just be damn bloody good at it."

I will never dance like that again unless I'm required to =.=|||

Relieved when they announced that my round was over, the other Gaga stepped up as I went down. She, takes another way to portray Gaga, which is to sing^^ The singing was of course, unlike Gaga but she sure got the crowd going as they were a good audience. They even sang along with her later on^^

The judges then took 5 mins to shortlist again... while we all took pics together.

Honestly speaking, I had never thought I'd make it into the final 4 itself== Now, I'm in the final 2... With Marilyn Manson.. SCARY!!! ><>

AND FOR THAT, I TOOK HIM SERIOUSLY! LET'S DANCE!!!

I remembered in Lady Gaga's Love Game she would push guys off, or into rooms to rape em.
So i did push him as well... XD

It was a very interesting dual, and later after that, the results!!!

It was all based on the audience, upon mentioning Marilyn's name, the audience cheered like hell^^, but when my name was in, the audience cheered HELL-ER! XD

They STILL can't pronounce my name rite but yea, it's not like it's the 1st time. As I heard my name, I could have Jump for Joy~! But after I cooled down a lil, I was like WHAT? How Come?! What bout the others?!

But because of the winning, bloggers started coming to me to take photos with me. Well, I'm humble n shy (Cheh~) but for once, I would like to feel like a celeb as well...

For this Cinderella will be back to taking care of the house the next day when the spell is broken (for mom's in China T^T)

As the event dies down at 10pm, me n my bf left for Maison with some other friends that came to pick us up (I didn't wanna drive from Zouk which I paid RM20 for parking and head to Maison, only to pay again) and if u all are wondering if I went in that costume, NO! I CHANGED! into something longer... that covered my ass !

The next day, Vince wanted to take another few photos of me with the IPhone just for his blog. So, I have no choice but to re-do the exact heavy make up (just not so much on the foundation) and re-wear my clothes... Vince currently a new photographer and would wish to work his way up to be a pro. Lol, and I know I'm not really fit to be a model either @.@ *shy*

Anyway, last but not least, I wanna thank Nuffnang for inviting me to join this event and also DIGI for giving me this opportunity to know more bout them (I'm a DIGI user) and as well as presenting me with a IPhone (my very 1st Apple product n touch screen product). Feel sad for my phone tho, for I just bought it few months back with my own pocket money, resulting to me cherishing it a lot. Therefore I plan to keep both as 1 for backup^^
Also thanks to the fun bloggers that attended the event and have supported me and ONLY the ones that supported me. Ya'll were a great audience and a great sport...
Oh and thanks my love for being so supportive even if i had to dance with another guy^^ Sorry yea *muacks*
